Candolim Beachlies to the south of Calangute beach. Aguada Fort lies to its south. Candolim Beach has clean sands free of debris, and clean waters good for bathing in fair season. Also lesser crowds than Calangute. Candolim offers a peaceful option for those who want to be away from the crowds and have their fun. Access to Candolim Beach is by a road taking right just after Candolim Tinto on the Calangute to Aguada road. The access road is narrow and lined with hotels and restaurants but there is a car parking space at the beach point. There is public transport through the day including buses from Panaji and Mapusa to Candolim Beach, the beach is safe. It forms the stretch from Sinquerim towards calangute. The place is clean and bit off inside from main street. It is well known for its Calamari Shack. A good place to enjoy evening if you are staying near candolim, and yes there are lots of stays and eateries available nearby.
